Zendaya and Tom Holland Are Officially Engaged!

Hours after the actress stepped out at the 2025 Golden Globes wearing a massive diamond on her left ring finger, sources have confirmed their engagement.

If there’s a celebrity couple that had the public on engagement watch, it’s Zendaya and Tom Holland. The A-list duo, who got together in 2021 after co-starring in Spider-Man: Homecoming, is one of Hollywood’s darling pairs—and given the fact that they just entered the fourth year of their relationship, it’s natural that they had us all on the edge of our seats, hoping for an engagement announcement (and, of course, a photo of a ring). We just got our wish on both counts: After the Dune actress stepped out at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards on January 5, 2025, wearing a boulder of a diamond on her left ring finger (yep, that finger!), the rumor mill started swirling—and according to multiple outlets, those rumors are absolutely true: Zendaya and Holland are officially engaged! According to TMZ, the first outlet to confirm the news, Holland proposed in between Christmas and New Year’s while at one of his fiancée’s homes in the United States.

Though Zendaya didn’t comment about her and Holland’s upgraded relationship status or her engagement ring—a highly faceted cushion-cut diamond, which has a button back and is set in an east-west orientation on a gold band—while walking the Golden Globes red carpet, she did give us a few clues. The ring differed in designer from the rest of her jewels, which were created by Bulgari; her engagement ring is from London-based designer Jessica McCormack, according to an anonymous tip received by Deux Moi (we found it on the jeweler’s website and can confirm that it’s an exact match!).

Zendaya also didn’t appear to hold back during the show inside Hollywood’s Beverly Hilton. In a viral video, The Bear actress Ayo Edebri was caught staring at the ring and hugging her pal close; in another, Zendaya was asked to show the ring to another friend off camera.

Zendaya and Tom Holland Have Reportedly Talked About Marriage

Ahead of the Globes, even Holland dropped a few hints of his own to suggest that the pair had become fiancés. In an interview with Men’s Health that hit stands on January 2, 2025 (days after his proposal!), Holland actually skipped a few steps ahead of engagement and marriage altogether and brought up the matter of children. “When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore,” Holland told the outlet. “Golf and dad. And I will just disappear off the face of the earth.”

Holland’s comment certainly hinted to the fact that he and Zendaya are gearing up to kick off their married life—though neither he nor Zendaya have directly confirmed the engagement. This isn’t exactly surprising: The couple has always been notoriously private about their bond and will likely take their time sharing the news (if they ever do!). According to Holland, the duo doesn’t enjoy the public nature of their high-profile partnership, which is part of the reason why they rarely walk red carpets together—”because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us,” he told Men’s Health.

This isn’t the first time Holland has opened up about the struggles of having a relationship in the public eye. “One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world,” Holland told GQ in 2021. The takeaway? Holland and Zendaya might be engaged, but we might not know more about his proposal or their wedding plans until the tight-lipped couple decides to loop everyone in.
